Jon Schmidts Concert

Me, *Casjen, Kayli, 1Meagan, Nathan , 2Tyler, Mom, Dad, Jacob and 3 of his friends, got to go to one of Jon Schmidt's concerts last night! My favorite part was when Jon asked a chelloist (is that what you say? if not, comment on what is the right way) to play this one song, and apparrently he had a problem with doing that, "the guy who wrote that song wrote it for the violin, the viola and wrote the first 8 notes for the chello... then DIED! So, someone took those 8 notes and put them together over and over and over again! so you don't really know when to stop."

Then Jon said "Well I like it."

So they started playing it, and the guy who played the chello kept on acting like he was falling asleep and woke himself up again and did that a few times until he didn't wake up and Jon stopped playing the piano and woke him up. After the concert was over, we got to take pictures

with a singer, the guy who played the chello and JON SCHMIDT!

Recently, we were reading the book of Ether, chapter 9. You know how my name is Jared? I read about myself, check out the link . It was really weird for me.

Lost a tooth!

Yesterday, I found out that one of my molars were loose, and started telling everyone in my family.

Then, later my sister told me that we were going to make some S'mores in the back yard.
So, that night, we made S'mores like she said and, when I was chewing a S'more, it painlessly pushed my tooth out and I got $3.35.

Band

At band on Monday, we had a substitute teacher and she had us go up to the front of the room and have us play a song. I have to say, my trombone didn't like me right then.
There are these two people who play percussion, and they are still in the first level working on the xylophone. They went and got down the drums and started playing Hot-cross buns, the easiest song we know. Then the next person got up and played the drums as well, but first asked if he could make something up. It was amazing, I don't know how to describe it.
So, when I got home, I told some of my family members what happened. it reminded me about a comedian that was like "OK class, up against the wall it's time for public humiliation."

A cool new instrument

One day, I thought my mom and I were going to the library but instead, we went to Ishikawa Elementry school without me knowing, so as we were driving there I thought "we're going the wrong way".
So when we got there we went to the music room and the music teacher (mr.Kingsly)let me try out the Trombone. He said that there were about 2 people with a trombone in the whole school.
I tried it out and -instead of letting us rent it, he let us borrow it- my mom said I did great, so we took it home and I practiced.
Now, I have band lessons, and a great time.

E.L.P. Field Trip

On April 22nd I went on a field trip from 5:30 to 8:00 and (this is in Copper Queen Mine) I have some pictures to show:

We went to Copper Queen Mine and on the way there, we got to play with our DSs and sleep, read and have fun. After Copper Queen Mine, we got to go into a giftshop and buy some thing you could find in a cave. I bought a cool animal for my sister made out of some kind of rock (I don't know what kind of rock) and got myself pure quartz for $4.00, it was awsome!

A Reason of a Rule

One day me (Jared), my older sister Kayli, my little brother Nicholas, and my little sister Bethany were swimming and Kayli, me and Nicholas were playing marco polo. Bethany wasn't a very good swimmer, but good for a three year old. And while we were playing Marco Polo, we heard Bethany yell something, but we weren't paying attention then there was a splash, but we didn't hear it, so, we kept playing.

Later, Kayli was it for Marco Polo, and I swam to the deep end by the diving board, and saw Bethany floating face down in the water and thuoght it was a joke, so I said: "come on Bethany" (or something like that) but she didn't get out of the water, so, I got scared and called Kayli. She thought it was a joke too, then I pulled her out of the water and saw that her lips were blue. Next it was Nicholas I called, and told him to get mom and so he ran into the house, up the stairs and called mom and told her about Bethany, and she came running down the stairs, through the back door and into the pool area.When my mom saw Bethany, I had already pulled her out of the water.
Gladly my mom knew C.P.R., so she went on to work and told Kayli to call 911. We prayed for her to be well.
When the ambulance arrived, and we got Bethany into the house, my bishop was here and some others in the ward. Some of our friends in the ward took us to their house.
Two days later we got to visit Bethany. She had a full recovery. We brought her home and gave her a load of gifts.

I'm so glad Heavenly Father answered our prayers.

Today was fun, we woke up and did our morning checklist jobs, and then me and Nicholas (my little brother) came downstairs and did our computer homework then later on Sis. Messman (our baby-sitter) came, then (MORE) later my parents were getting ready to go to the temple but my mom could not find her temple recommend, so later she found out that that it was at the temple ; so before they left my mom said we should do all our checklist chores then we could get back to what we were doing and then we left later we finished around the time my parents got home. (I don't remember the rest)
